GLOBAL RACING OIL GEAR LUBE 85W140 EP is a mineral gear oil which offers the ultimate in transmission and cardan shaft (drive shaft) protection. Specifically developed and engineered for these applications, it is far superior to standard transmission oils in all aspects concerning clutch and gearbox lubrication.
GEAR LUBE 85W140 EP is formulated with Extreme Pressure additives that absorb the heavy shock loads that are common in heavy duty transmissions, especially during gear shifting and during acceleration and deceleration. The extreme resistance to film shear prevents metal-to-metal contact on the gear teeth thereby reducing friction and operating temperatures.
GEAR LUBE 85W140 EP is very stable to shear rupture, a very important characteristic in transmissions as the combined sliding/cutting action of the gear teeth on an poorly engineered oil can produce a rapid destruction of the additives. It also has an extremely high thermal stability that ensures good resistance to breakage and prevents foam formation.
